Security
First Washington Corporation knows the security of your account is of the utmost importance.

All First Washington accounts are carried on the books of Pershing, LLC our Clearing Broker.Accounts carried on the books of Pershing LLC are protected by the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (“SIPC”), which provides $500,000 of net equity protection (including $100,000 for claims for cash awaiting reinvestment).

In addition to the basic SIPC protection, Pershing, LLC provides excess SIPC coverage for the total amount of your account through Customer Asset Protection Company, a licensed New York insurer.

The account protection applies when a SIPC member firm fails financially but neither SIPC nor excess SIPC covers losses in the market value of securities due to market fluctuations.
